STEM is becoming an increasingly dominant field in academic and professional contexts. And, contrary to what many believe, STEM Education does not simply refer to coding and science. Rather, it is the system of education that lays the foundations for manufacturing, food production, health care and so many more of the world’s driving forces.

STEM education embraces modern styles of teaching. It adopts interdisciplinary and hands-on approaches from areas in the sciences, mathematics and technology combined with real-life experiences to tackle pressing, concrete issues that confront the global community. In today’s information-based and highly technological society, the youth need to develop their capabilities in STEM to be successful.

By joining the EFDN’s STEM Education Network, you club, league or FA will be guaranteeing itself a position at the forefront of an effort to modernise education. You would be joining a network of representatives leading professional football’s charge towards a more directed style of teaching and ultimately a more sustainable future. The exchange of knowledge and ideas with other members of the network will give life to a generation of innovative thinkers and makers.
