Mathematics Competition with Robots
The students from class “G” were challenged by their class teacher Svetlana Yankova and PFC Ludogorets in a double competition – to calculate the mathematics pyramid as fast as possible in order to reach the right answer by using the innovative mini robots such as Sphero Bolt.
Involved in the game with them, the children practiced their skills of addition and subtraction up to 100, were quick and accurate in calculations, worked in teams and competed. The lesson demonstrated how in a transformed environment, learning is fun for children.
The cute machines are part of the UEFA and EFDN STEM project, which aims to present the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in an accessible way. PFC Ludogorets is the only partner of the football clubs in Bulgaria. Other European clubs developing the project are FC Shakhtar Donetsk, FC Feyenoord Rotterdam, Aberdeen, the Newcastle United Foundation and many other football clubs.
